Talking Catty About the Louisiana Prison System: Tales From the Field - Stories From the LSU Vet Med Community

Talking Catty About the Louisiana Prison System: Tales From the Field - Stories From the LSU Vet Med Community In-Person

The Tales From the Field program series shines a spotlight on the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine by sharing stories that exemplify our Vision, Mission, and Values. This program will highlight the school’s Vision of “Bettering lives through education, public service, and discovery.”

Over the past 10 years, LSU Vet Med has developed an unusual partnership with the Louisiana Prison System. Please join us as Wendy Wolfson, Assistant Professor of Veterinary Surgery and head of the Shelter Medicine Program, discusses this service-learning opportunity that provides a unique learning experience for 4th year students, education for inmates,  and veterinary care for feral cats, shelter pets and pets belonging to inmates.
