The LSU School of Veterinary Medicine Library invites you to attend the latest edition of our Tales From the Field outreach series, where we shine a spotlight on the school's vision, mission, and values. This unique Tales program will feature a special screening of the film that took away the 2023 Louisiana Film Prize's top honor for best film. The Candy Ladywritten and directed by Monique Morton Derouselle and edited and co-produced by LSU Vet Med videographer Chris Jones - depicts Debra, a neighborhood candy lady whose quiet day goes awry when she awakens a magical typewriter bringing all of her short stories to life. Come watch a screening of this award-winning film and participate in a Q & A with Chris Jones afterward. Refreshments will start at 5:30 and the film screening (11 minutes long) will begin around 5:45pm after a brief explanation.
