Introduction to Research Databases

Introduction to Research Databases In-Person

LSU provides a number of research databases with which the LSU community can search scholarly literature. While research databases have many features in common, each database has unique strengths and peculiarities. This class will introduce the basic steps to follow in order to ensure a successful search and will introduce the four major research databases applicable to the veterinary sciences available through campus libraries:  Pubmed, Web of Science, CabDirect, and VetMed Resource. This class is open to all faculty, staff, and students.

Bring a laptop if you would like to follow along with the searches.
